dramatis personae } don't do love.

Under construction! This is a clarification of who's who in this particular AU- some of them have been either spectrum-slid, racebent or both, and some have just had their roles changed slightly. The links lead either to icon credits or things I've written involving them.
mycroft holmes the most dangerous woman you've ever met.
the british government; sherlock's big sister. ten times more frightening than mycroft holmes in canon, particularly because she doesn't necessarily seem that way. they have a difficult relationship (to understate enormously) but sherlock does talk to her; in her experience, the silent treatment never works. particularly with a woman who set up a whole club devoted to silence. no, clearly the way to get her point across with mycroft is to make as much noise as possible. → [personal profile] khamoshi

dr jane watson we solve crimes, i blog about it and she forgets her knickers.
sherlock doesn't have friends; she just has one. jane watson is her flatmate, her partner in crime, her partner in solving crime, and essentially one of the (very) few people who can handle her- certainly the only person sherlock overtly allows to do so. their relationship is insane, intense, co-dependent and arguably the healthiest one sherlock has ever had; take this to be a reflection of how dreadfully she connects with the rest of the world. →[personal profile] sekhem

sgt sally donovan we'll be standing round a body and it'll be sherlock holmes who put it there.
sherlock doesn't have friends, but she does have connections. sally donovan (unsurprisingly) takes to her rather more when sherlock holmes isn't one more white man trying to tell her how to do her job, and lets her onto crime scenes out of a desire for justice- and maybe a tiny sense of rebellion- and this pervading feeling that if she doesn't let sherlock look at crime scenes, sherlock will just make her own.

molly hirata you've always counted and i've always trusted you.
molly hirata has always counted, even if sherlock is still inclined to say horrible things. sherlock remains clueless about how to respect people's feelings- however, she does respect molly, in a way which is very easy to miss, mainly because sherlock's respect tends to show itself in ways like 'you're competent; allow me to use that for my own purposes.' (see also: sally and jane). molly remains romantically interested in sherlock; sherlock remains prone to dealing with this in the wrong way.
